Thank you so much for the beautiful stock image from  So this was the first time I tried to add watercolor to an ink drawing. Yeesh. First problem is: I don't know how to watercolor, this is the first. Here are several things I could have found out with the smallest amount of research. I though I'd save some other artist some grief. Here are some tips. 1.) I heard that salt makes a textured effect on watercolor. Well, don't use sea salt, it doesn't dissolve and sticks to the paper. 2.) Water color and bristol board don't mix and it starts warping the paper. |
