So this was the first time I tried to add watercolor to an ink drawing. Yeesh. First problem is: I don't know how to watercolor, this is the first.
Here are several things I could have found out with the smallest amount of research. I though I'd save some other artist some grief. Here are some tips.
1.) I heard that salt makes a textured effect on watercolor. Well, don't use sea salt, it doesn't dissolve and sticks to the paper.
2.) Water color and bristol board don't mix and it starts warping the paper.
Oh thank you! I thought if I did it again I would have to use watercolor paper, and I don't like the texture when I'm drawing with ink! Really, thanks.
When I was flipping through stock art pictures this guy struck me as very Jasperish, I didn't picture him in my head with curly hair....Thanks so much!
yeah, i can't really see him with curly hair either, but it's more than that... the guy they picked seemed more comatose than troubled. but i agree, ur guy is quite "jasperish"
